MOIf I was planning a move to Port St. Lucie, I would NOT just start scrolling Zillow.
Here are the first 5 smart moves I’d make instead:
1️⃣ Learn the AREAS, not just the homes
PSL is BIG. Some neighborhoods are near shopping, dining, and major roads… others feel more quiet and tucked away. Where you live here really changes your day-to-day lifestyle.
2️⃣ Talk to a LOCAL Realtor first
Before touring anything, I’d talk to someone who can explain property taxes, insurance costs, HOA/CDD fees, and what future growth is coming to the area. A good local agent will also narrow down options that actually fit your budget and wish list — saving you a TON of time and stress.
3️⃣ Decide: New Construction or Resale?
Port St. Lucie has tons of brand-new communities and great established neighborhoods. The right choice depends on your timeline, budget, and how long you plan to stay.
4️⃣ Research HOA + CDD fees early
Amenities are amazing here but costs vary a lot from one community to another. Know the monthly numbers before you fall in love.
5️⃣ Look at commute + daily drive times
How far is it to I-95? The Turnpike? Your grocery store or gym? PSL is easy living if your location matches your routine.
Thinking about moving to Port St. Lucie? Don’t start with houses, start with a PLAN.
Comment “MOVE” and I will send you my Port St. Lucie relocation guide!
