BAkorean corndogs🌭🧀
Ingredients:
225g bread flour
75g all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
45g granulated sugar
6g instant yeast
1 large egg
160ml warm water
3 sausages
Mozzarella cheese
Panko bread crumbs
2 small potatoes + 2 tbsp cornstarch
Instructions:
Make the Dough:
1. In a bowl, whisk together the egg, sugar, and yeast
2. Add flour, salt, and water, then mix until a sticky dough forms.
3. Cover and let the dough rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Prepare the Potatoes:
1. Dice potatoes into small cubes.
2. Boil for 3–4 minutes, then drain and let cool.
3. Coat the cubes lightly with cornstarch and spread on a tray.
Prepare the Fillings:
1. Cut sausages in half.
2. Slice cheese into pieces the same length as the sausage halves.
3. Skewer sausage and cheese together on sticks.
Assemble the Corn Dogs:
1. Wrap the risen dough around each skewer until fully covered.
2. Roll in breadcrumbs and potato cubes to coat evenly.
Fry the Corn Dogs:
1. Heat oil to high and fry until golden brown.
2. Reduce to medium heat and continue frying until cooked through.
3. Sprinkle each corn dog with sugar.
4. Drizzle with ketchup and mustard.
