GOCrockpot Red Beans and Rice
1 lb small red beans, sorted and rinsed
1 large smoked turkey leg
2 ribs celery, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 block butter
2 tbsp chicken bouillon
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp black pepper
8 cups chicken broth
Add the rinsed beans and smoked turkey leg to a crockpot. Add celery, bell pepper, onion, and garlic. Add the butter and season with chicken bouillon, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper. Pour in the chicken broth. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours. Remove the bones, stir, and serve over rice with Louisiana hot sauce and cornbread.
