This is called rope flow, a movement practice pioneered by David Weck. It teaches your thoracic spine to move in smooth figure eights, the way it was designed to move. Rope flow is: • Therapeutic and joint-friendly • Great for rhythm and coordination • A fun way to loosen up and move naturally To get started: 1. Grab a rope and hold it with an “OK” grip. 2. Swing it in a circular pattern side to side. 3. Begin walking while flowing the rope forward and back. Start simple, then work your way into advanced patterns like the dragon roll. It takes practice, but the basics feel amazing right away. Fair warning: you might smack yourself in the head once or twice, but that’s part of the learning process. #davidweck #weckmethod #ropeflow

95 lbs. Jefferson Curl Curl - age 56, February 14, 2025, 12:35 pm ⚠️CAUTION: THIS VIDEO IS FOR DEMONSTRATION PURPOSES ONLY. THE EXERCISE(S) CAN BE DANGEROUS. PLEASE VIEW WITH DISCRETION. This was the first successful repetition of this exercise that I got on the @weckmethod Bosu Elite with 95 lbs. I’m always looking for opportunities to strengthen my feet and ankles so doing this on a wobbly pneumatic dome makes that happen. Before I can lower of lift the bar, I need to compress the Bosu under my feet in a way that it eventually provides enough of a stable platform for me to start moving from. As my movements change my center of gravity, my CNS must quickly and constantly restack my body segments over the shifting platform of compressed air. This forces me to slow down and make sure I control every inch and degree of what I’m doing before I go farther. I can’t lift as heavy on a Bosu, but I get so much more out of what I can lift when I use it to find and strengthen the muscles that hide when I stand on level ground.
