Both citric acid and ascorbic acid are must-haves for long-term food storage. Citric acid lowers pH, keeping bacteria and mold from growing. Ascorbic acid prevents oxidation, which keeps fruits from browning and helps retain vitamin C. If you’re canning or fermenting, use citric acid as your acidifier. If you’re dehydrating or storing fats, use ascorbic acid to preserve color, flavor, and nutrients. You can even combine them. For example, dip apple slices in a mix of both before dehydrating. The citric acid keeps bacteria away, while the ascorbic acid keeps the fruit bright and nutrient-rich. Two simple compounds that dramatically improve the shelf life and quality of your stored foods.

🍊 Vɪᴛᴀᴍɪɴᴀ C 🍊 . Hoy en día encontramos muchos productos que contienen vit.c en el mercado, peeero...no todas son iguales y mucho menos dan los mismos resultados. 🙄 ➡️¿Cómo elegirla? Siempre les cuento a mis pacientes la importancia de entender y leer el INCI, que es básicamente la lista de ingredientes que aparecen en el dorso del producto. En el caso de la vit.c es súper importante que contenga entre estos ingredientes "ÁCIDO ASCORBICO" o " ASCORBIC ACID". Su nombre proviene de ascorbus, que quiere decir "sin escorbuto", enfermedad que se veía mucho en los marineros🚢 debido a la carencia de vit.c , quienes la combatían consumiendo cítricos. ➡️¿Cuándo y cómo usarla? Siempre debes usarla de DIA☀️, hace unos años había muchos profesionales que recomendaban usarla de noche (supuestamente de día podía provocar hiperpigmentaciones en la piel) Hoy todos sabemos, que la vit.c nos ayuda justamente a prevenir manchas, debido a su alto poder ANTIOXIDANTE. Básicamente contrarresta los efectos de los radicales libres que causa el sol sobre nuestra piel. ➡️ ¿Y cómo me doy cuenta si se óxido? ¿Hace mal si la uso igual? Es muy fácil, vas a notar como su color cambia a un tono naranja muy oscuro. Color óxido 😂. Pero no, no hace mal si la usas igual, solo no va a aportarte todos esos beneficios que tanto esperamos. Entoncesss, una vez abierta aprovéchala al MÁXIMO 🙌. . Con la piel limpia, aplica tu sérum con vit.c, hidratante y termina la rutina con fps. .
