To use (or call) the function, just write its name followed by ():

COTo check if a string is a palindrome in Python, you can use the following code
# Function to check if a string is a palindrome
def is_palindrome(string):
# Remove any spaces and convert to lowercase
string = string.replace(" ", "").lower()
# Check if the string is equal to its reverse
return string == string[::-1]
# Input from user
input_string = input("Enter a string: ")
# Check and print result
if is_palindrome(input_string):
print(f'"{input_string}" is a palindrome!')
else:
print(f'"{input_string}" is not a palindrome.')
How it Works:
1. Preprocessing:
The replace(" ", "") removes spaces to handle phrases.
lower() ensures case insensitivity.
2. Reversal: The slice string[::-1] generates the reverse of the string.
3. Comparison: It checks if the original string is equal to its reverse.
Example Run:
Enter a string: Madam
"Madam" is a palindrome!
