VASplit Fiction is what happens when two writers fall into their own books and realize plot holes are way more dangerous when you’re inside them. You and a friend play as Mio and Zoe—one stuck in a sci-fi world, the other in a fantasy realm—and the only way out is through beautifully chaotic co-op puzzles, genre mashups, and probably a few arguments over who’s carrying the team. It’s like playing through a buddy comedy written by two people who can’t agree on anything, and it’s pure, creative madness in the best way.

Science fiction can be an intimidating genre to try to break into. With tons of foreign concepts, distant planets that can be new and unfamiliar, intricate tech and gadgets that seem like straight up magic 🪄 and the potential for complex science dumps it’s no wonder this can be a pretty niche genre.

This hybrid filmmaking approach grounded the sci-fi horror in realism, making Dren’s presence both believable and unsettling.
