Explanation below ⬇️ 3 comebacks to use when a guy mansplains to you. -What makes you think I don’t know this?  This response challenges their underlying assumption that you know less than them, asserting your competence and knowledge. It also lets the person know that their unwanted explanation is unwelcome and establishes a boundary against future similar behavior. It’s important that the delivery is said in a calm, confident, and direct delivery to ensure it comes off assertive. Be mindful if delivered with anger or hostility it’ll come off as passive aggressive and could escalate the situation.  -I’m comfortable with my understanding, thank you though.  This phrase is direct and clear, leaving no room for misinterpretation and avoids attacking the other person and is polite and assertive. It also sets a boundary that you’re not open to further explanation on this topic. And it preserves self-respect and confidence by asserting your knowledge and autonomy without escalating the situation and maintaining control of the conversation.  -Please respect my knowledge and experience on the topic.  This response is assertive, direct, and clearly states that you have knowledge and experience on the topic and that you should be respected. By asserting your expertise and authority it challenges their underlying assumption that you’re less knowledgeable. If conveyed in a firm and direct tone you can effectively establish a clear boundary that their behavior is not acceptable and discourage future instances of  mansplaining.  Need more help being assertive, book a 1:1 with me in my link in bio & if you’re here for outfit details, comment OUTFIT and I’ll send you a personalized message with links.  Xo,  Dr. C

3 Things to Say When Someone Zings You in a Conversation Ever had someone’s comment sting or come off as #bullying and #aggressivebehavior, and later you replay the moment wishing you had the perfect response? 🧠✨ Here are 3 powerful go-to lines for different situations that protect your boundaries and keep your cool: 1️⃣ Call it out confidently: “What an odd thing to say.” (Simple, firm, and shifts the focus back on them.) 2️⃣ Pause for clarity: “Let me think about that.” (Gives you space to respond thoughtfully, not reactively.) 3️⃣ Cool off with care: “I’m not sure this is productive right now. Let’s take a break and revisit tomorrow.” (Perfect for preserving relationships while managing emotions.) Try these next time you’re navigating #conflict, and let me know which one resonates most with you! 💬👇 #Boundaries #Assertiveness #ConflictResolution #SelfEsteem #InterpersonalSkills #HealthyCommunication #PsychologyTips #CouplesTherapy #FamilyDrama #therapist #psychology #argument#friends #assertiveness

Leadership isn’t about dominance, aggression, or assertiveness—those might be necessary at times, but they don’t define a great leader. True leadership is about influence—setting a standard through action, not orders. The kind of leadership where people choose to follow, not because they’re told to, but because they’re inspired to. At its core, leadership is about trust. The most important skill any leader can develop is the ability to build unshakable trust—and that comes from consistently demonstrating trustworthiness through actions, not words. Are you leading in a way that inspires people to follow—or forcing them to?

They’ll say leadership looks like dominance, assertiveness, and control. But some women carry influence in a whole different way. She doesn’t need to overpower a room to guide it. She leads by being deeply grounded in herself, present to others, and attuned to what’s unspoken. Her decisions aren’t rushed or reactive. They come from inner clarity. She’s not trying to prove anything. She’s listening, feeling, sensing... and because of that, people feel seen in her presence. That’s not softness. That’s strength most people will never understand. #FeminineLeadership #EmbodiedPower #PresenceOverPerformance #LeadWithHeart #MagneticFeminine #WomensWisdom #EmotionalIntelligence #SoftPower #ConsciousLeadership #RootedInSelf

We've all had people in our lives who like to assert dominance and control. Some of us are more susceptible than others. Growing up in an abusive household, I was ripe to be emotionally taken advantage of and manipulated. As I've grown, I've learned how to assert boundaries, slowly improve my mental well-being and beliefs about myself and my worth in the world so I am less likely to listen to or fall for the abusive approaches people take with me. It's strange, because you assume as you get older these experiences may happen less. But what I've come to learn is that each time a terrible person shows up, or someone shows you who they really are in attempting to belittle you or harm you, it can be an opportunity to reassert your boundaries, lessons learned, and self-efficacy even more. I don't feel obligated to make myself uncomfortable for your benefit anymore. I understand my worth and power, and you don't get to control it. That's the new paradigm, and I offer it to you as an invitation to see how you can reclaim some more of your peace. ☀️ #EmotionalHealing #BoundariesMatter #SelfWorth #HealingJourney #EmotionalAbuseRecovery #TraumaHealing #PersonalGrowth #Assertiveness #MentalWellness #ReclaimYourPower #SelfEmpowerment #ToxicPeople #Resilience #SelfRespect #SurvivorStrong #InnerStrength #EmotionalFreedom #YouAreWorthy #HealingIsPossible #ProtectYourPeace

A man walks past a waterlogged road… holding a brick behind his back. As a car approaches, the driver notices—and slows down, carefully passing without splashing him. No words. No confrontation. Just a message—clearly understood. Sometimes, you don’t need to argue to be respected. You just need to show people how to treat you. Not with anger. Not with drama. But with quiet confidence and clear boundaries. Because people often act based on what they think they can get away with—until you show them otherwise. That’s what assertiveness looks like. Knowing your worth. Holding your ground. Setting limits without saying a word. You don’t have to fight for respect. You just have to stop accepting less. Sometimes, your presence says everything. — follow for more @theinfotreasury #selfrespect #boundaries #mindset #lifelessons #assertiveness
