Now feeling the muscle as you do the exercise isn’t always the most important thing but on exercises like the machine fly, you should be able to feel your chest contract if you’re performing the movement correctly. So if you’re currently struggling with feeling in your chest on machine peck deck fly, you’re likely involving more front delt than you want. So what I recommend doing is sit at the edge of the seat so that you naturally lean back. From here you’re able to open your chest when your arms come out wide and really focus on puffing that chest out and accentuating that stretch like you’re about to give the biggest hug ever.
