💙 CRAZY PATCHWORK 💙 Um pouco dos bastidores😉...vem experimentar comigo e verás que o fazes assim sorrindo como eu 🤩 1- A montagem é sempre feita no sentido horário. 2- Se cortas os retalhos com forma triangular o efeito flor é mais acentuado, como podes ver aqui. 3- Inicia com os retalhos mais pequenos ( os primeiros podem ser quase ínfimos) e aumentando conforme vai progredindo. Podes misturar cores e texturas a teu gosto. Conforme o projeto, fazes o crazy sobre manta (aqui usei manta) ou sobre um tecido encorpado. Vais experimentar??? É um crazy patch onde você pode fazer com tecidos aleatórios (como eu fiz) ou fazer com tecidinhos combinando (fica um charme!). E sobre a medida desse projeto, na verdade tanto faz! Eu fiz grande e uso para guardar alguns talheres dourados de natal, mas você pode fazer de acordo com o uso que você dará para essa sua peça. O foco principal aqui é construir essa base com reaproveitamento dos retalhos que são pequenos e que aparentemente não poderiam mais ser reaproveitados. Gostou? 🪡 Crazy Quilt This quilt was made by 16 year old Winnie Buckland, of Barnston, in 1886. It is part of the Stanstead Historical Society and Colby-Curtis Museum collection. This is a very fine example of a Victorian crazy quilt, a style of quilt that became fashionable c. 1880. Like other art forms of the times, they were strongly influenced by the recent contact with Japanese decorative arts and design. We are crafting our own Crazy Quilt over the next few months with the help of the lovely participants of our exhibit, Les Généreuses/The Caregivers. Join us on October 9th for our first workshop, from 10am until 12pm. 🪡 Crazy Quilt Cette courtepointe a été réalisée par Winnie Buckland, 16 ans, de Barnston, en 1886. Elle fait partie de la collection de la Société Historique de Stanstead / Musée Colby Curtis. Il s'agit d'un très bel exemple de "Crazy Quilt" de l'époque victorienne, un style de courtepointe qui est devenu à la mode vers 1880. Comme d'autres formes d'art de l'époque, elles ont été fortement influencées par le récent contact avec les arts décoratifs et le design japonais. Nous allons fabriquer notre propre Crazy Quilt au cours des prochains mois avec l'aide des formidables participantes de notre exposition, Les Généreuses/The Caregivers.
