For 15 years I’ve trained in a way where I know exactly what I’m doing. The movements are always controlled and you learn how to make things look smooth even when they’re hard. Now even the “easy” things feel awkward. I still love bodybuilding. I always will. It built me, physically and mentally. And it’ll always be a part of how I train. But training / moving only in those straight, controlled planes of motion comes with a cost. You get strong, but you also get stiff. I lost any resemblance rhythm and fluidity without even realizing it. So now I’m in the season of relearning how to move like a human again I’m calling this training arc “learning how to walk”🫠 A long way to go, but it feels good, mentally and physically, to be doing something uncomfortable again.
