According to Cox, you’d likely suffocate, burn, and be crushed all at once long before reaching the ground, making it a completely unsurvivable scenario within minutes, if not seconds. Even spacecraft struggle to survive there. Missions like the Venera 13 only lasted a little over two hours on the surface before failing under the intense heat and pressure. It’s a reminder that while Venus is often called Earth’s “twin,” it’s actually more like a planetary version of a pressure cooker, where every condition is pushed to deadly extremes.
