Ok so Pilates Strength is having a moment 🤌🏼 I’m here for it - compound functional movements, YES YES YES 🤍 But at what point do we call it Pilates Strength and what point do we call it a Strength Class? I feel pretty torn about this one, whilst I love the opportunity to offer Clients heavier weights, when appropriate and safe to do so I also, do feel as if some weights & exercises are better placed in a strength class. Personally, I teach both types of classes and to my clients, there is a clear difference in the styles. But I have been to classes labelled “Pilates Strength” and feel asif I’m missing both elements of the class and just faffing around on the mat? Ah!!! Such a tough one, thoughts??!!!!???!!!
