I used to be soreeeee for days. Now I smash out this quick routine post run. Here’s exactly why I do it below: Stretching after a run helps your body switch from stress to recovery. Running creates thousands of muscle contractions which leave tissue tight and loaded. Stretching restores normal muscle length, improves blood flow, and helps clear waste products that build up during the run. That means less stiffness the next day reduced soreness and faster recovery between sessions. It’s not about becoming flexible.
