This movement eliminates the issue completely allowing you to focus on training those 6 pack abs effectively. If your lat pulldown is a single attachment just clip on two rope attachments or a Vulcan strap and it’ll do the exact same thing. 🤩 Try this, keep them nice and controlled, you’re welcome. 🫡

Cable abs crunches are great alternative exercise to regular abs crunches. 👉🏽Instead of lying on your back, you’ll kneel in front of the cable machine. 👉🏽Focus on maintaining a good upper body control and avoid arching your back which puts unnecessary strain and stress. 👉🏽Adding excessive weight to do less reps in a shorter period doesn’t help either, it puts unnecessary strain and stress on your back. 1️⃣ Hold rope with hands next to face. 2️⃣ Ensure that hips and knees are stable (90°angle) Don’t move them. 3️⃣ Exhale, brace your core, as you bring torso down towards your knees. There are a lot of options for this, but for me, the rope ab crunch is the best. You can focus on progressively overloading by adding a rep or weight — and you’ll get better at the movement and feel it more with a few tweaks: Make sure your hips are fixated and only your upper body is moving in a “crunch” motion. The cable ab crunch is one of my go to exercises when I train core, I even prefer it to the seated cable crunch machine 💪🏼 BUT it’s a very easy exercise to do wrong❌ Here’s how to fix your form‼️ 1️⃣ Back away from the cable, pull the rope to your head, stay locked in this position. 2️⃣ Bend at your hips, knees should form about a 90 degree angle, don’t sit back! 3️⃣ When crunching, round your back, focus on bringing your elbows/ nose to your knees 4️⃣ Keep the movement slow and controlled, exhale on your way down and inhale on your way up Remember, you should always use weight to train your core, just like you use weight to train any other part of your body Happy training 🫶🏼
