Are your eyes holding back your performance? 🏆 We train our muscles, but most athletes ignore one of their most powerful asset: their vision. It’s not just about “seeing 20/20”—it’s about the manner in which your eyes function to relay information to the brain. Here are 3 reasons why vision training is a game-changer: 1. Mastering Convergence: This is your eyes’ ability to work as a team to focus on a single object moving closer. Think: tracking a baseball, catching a pass, or reacting to a defender. Training this (with tools like the Brock String) sharpens your 3D depth perception and timing. 2. Sharpening Saccades: These are the lightning-fast, “jumping” movements your eyes make when you scan the field or shift your gaze from one target to another. Faster, more accurate saccades mean you can read the entire play in a split second. 3. Boosting Cognitive Function: This is the ultimate link. Your eye movements are brain activity. By training your visual skills, you are literally training your brain to process information faster, improve your decision-making, and shorten your reaction time. Your eyes lead your body. Start training them and get Wired to Win. INTENTION changes everything! Two athletes. Same starting point. Same exact program.
But one keeps improving… and the other stays stuck. Why? Athlete A is just going through the motions. Showing up because they have to. Checking the box.
Athlete B shows UP. Every rep has purpose. Every drill has focus. Every session has effort behind it. That’s the difference between average and elite. If you want to become an elite athlete, don’t just be present; be intentional. Work hard. Compete. Show up with purpose. #AthleteMindset #TrainWithPurpose #SportsPerformance #EliteAthlete #HardWorkWins

Why Athletes Must Visualize to Succeed Visualization is a powerful tool that helps athletes achieve success. By mentally rehearsing their performance, athletes can enhance their focus, confidence, and readiness. Here’s why visualization is crucial: 1. Improves Focus: Visualization trains the mind to concentrate on specific goals and actions, reducing distractions during actual performance. 2. Boosts Confidence: Seeing themselves succeed in their mind’s eye builds self-belief and reduces anxiety. 3.Enhances Performance: Mental practice activates the same brain regions as physical practice, improving muscle memory and coordination. 4. Prepares for Challenges: Visualizing different scenarios helps athletes anticipate and effectively handle challenges. 5. Reinforces Goals: Regular visualization keeps athletes aligned with their goals, maintaining motivation and commitment. Incorporate visualization into your routine to see real results on the field! 🏅 #Visualization #AthleteMindset #PeakPerformance

POV: you finally start training for speed and explosiveness. Suddenly, your workouts have purpose. You're not just lifting heavy — you're moving with intent. You're sprinting, jumping, reacting, landing. You're building a body that moves fast and holds up under pressure. This is what athletic training feels like. Less noise. More transfer. Comment “ATHLETE” and we’ll send you a guide to help you train the right way — with speed, power, and long-term performance in mind.

Everyone wants to get faster but most athletes don’t know where to start. The truth is, speed doesn’t just happen from running more sprints or copying random drills online. It’s built through a proven framework: one that’s been used by the National Association of Speed and Explosiveness (NASE) to develop some of the fastest athletes in the world. If you want real progress, you need to: - Build a foundation of strength - Learn to apply that strength explosively - Train both acceleration and max velocity - Refine your sprint mechanics - Stay healthy enough to sustain progress This is the blueprint that actually transfers to sport. Comment “SPEED” and we’ll send you our 42-page Speed Blueprint, including a free 30-day structure to help you get started the right way.

Programming your mind and body with visualization. Research shows that mental imagery can improve motor tasks, including sprinting, by activating neural pathways similar to those used during actual movement. These pathways, including motor and sensory areas, help the brain simulate the action, strengthening the mind-body connection. By consistently engaging in visualization, athletes improve motor coordination, reaction time, and muscle memory, leading to enhanced performance. Studies also highlight that this technique boosts confidence, reduces pre-race anxiety, and prepares the nervous system for competition, making visualization a powerful tool for both mental and physical readiness. By mentally rehearsing your actions, you can refine your skills, boost confidence, and enhance overall performance. #mentalsportt #mentalskillstraining #mindset #mentalrehearsal #visualization #sportpsychologist #sportpsychology #mentaltoughness #imagery

Follow to learn how to get more athletic. Elite sprinters ATTACK the track to generate HIGH GRF at contact. If you’ve ever seen a 100m race in person, you know it sounds like an earthquake. High level sprinters are able to put more force into the ground (especially during the first half of ground contact) via a few key components: 💥Fast thigh angular velocities & foot tangential velocities This a byproduct of having higher thigh amplitudes (greater ROM) during flight, which gives them more room to “whip from the hip.” Fast thigh angular velocities also create high foot tangential velocities, aka how fast the foot is moving at touchdown (both its vertical and horizontal components). This is KEY for achieving faster sprint speeds. 💪High lower limb stiffness This is crucial to have the eccentric capacity to resist excessive deformation during ground contact, which will increase GCT. Elite sprinters have extremely high levels of stiffness, which is product of their neuromuscular RFD and tendon stiffness. Ultimately, this is how they generate higher GRF during the first half of ground contact. This allows them generate the necessary impulse (to satisfy flight time needs for stride length) FASTER, which decreases GCT! …… 🚀if you’re ready to jump higher, run faster, and train like an Olympic athlete, sign up for training at THP Strength! #sportsperformance #fitness #sportsscience #strengthandconditioning #sports #training #athlete #strengthtraining #basketball #dunk #volleyball #football #trackandfield #strength #speedtraining #athleticperformance #strengthcoach #injuryprevention #sportsperformancetraining #kneepain #performancetraining #speed #workout #sport #plyometrics #personaltrainer #physicaltherapy #physicaltherapist #dunking #jumping
