Here's what we're doing: . 🦿Warm-up suggestion (do each for about 30 seconds, twice): 1. 90/90 + hip internal rotations 2. Scapula push ups 3. Standing goodmorning . ‼️ Workout (4 to 5 rounds) ‼️ Backpack Squats (12 reps) Backpack Deadlifts (12 reps) Backpack Push-ups (12 reps) Backpack Rows (10 reps) Backpack Overhead Press (10 reps) . Your new secret weapon💣 Renegade rows are one of my ALL-TIME favorite movements for mountain athletes. They are simple, effective, and get the job done. You’ll see these featured in my upcoming Summit Series program to help athletes build strength & stamina to carry HEAVY packs, day in and day out, in the mountains. PLUS, what you may NOT have known, is that this movement will strengthen your back muscles to handle heavy DESCENTS like a BOSS. Like I said….effective & efficient. A few key things to remember: ⚡️This is an ANTI-rotation movement - so lock in that plank position! Dont let your hips drop (or rotate) side to side. ⚡️SLOW DOWN - speed is not the goal here. Focus on smooth & controlled movements as you drive the elbow high. ⚡️DONT FORGET TO BREATHE: Exhale at the top as you drive high! For programming, here are 2 options based on your goals: ⏱️ENDURANCE: 3-4 sets of 60-90 seconds at 50-65% max ⏱️STRENGTH: 3-5 sets of 3-8 reps/side at 70-85% max Questions? Drop a comment.
