You don’t need crunches for a killer core! If you struggle with your core I have a FREE Core Breathing Series which helps teach the deep core connection/breathing to help strengthen & flatten the core plus reduce leakage and back pain. Comment “core” and I will DM the free series to you! It is crucial to focus on the deep core muscles and connecting the breathing to it as they act as an internal corset! It’s the main player in strengthening a weak core, building back your core postpartum and also healing Diastasis Recti. It’s never to kate to work on them! You can’t just work the superficial top layers and expect results! The key here is the stabilize the core as the leg extends away. When people say brace the core or wrap the Transverse Abs in, they are talking about using the deep core muscles to help stabilize the spine and pelvis. That’s what the deep core does which makes for a strong kick-A core when combined with proper breath support. Quick Tips: ❌You don’t want your back to arch as this will cause your hip flexors to take over. ❌You also don’t want to fully smash your back into the ground so the deep core muscles aren’t even the ones stabilizing the core! ✅You want a heavy weight to hold with your arm for more challenge. ✅When I say lift the Pelvic floor imagine an elevated shaft going on and then going down as you inhale ✅For wrapping your transverse abs imagine a tight jacket slowly zipping and your belly button will go in and up as well.
