Without Data Engineers to design pipelines and deliver high-quality data, AI models can’t perform. DEs are the ones literally fueling the AI revolution. ➡️ Career flexibility. DE sits in the middle of the stack. Whether you want to pivot to software development, AI engineering, or data science, you’ll have the foundations. ➡️ Cloud is driving demand for DE. As companies migrate their data to the cloud, Data Engineers are the ones building pipelines, managing storage, and enabling scalable analytics. I transitioned from Engineering to Data analytics 3 years ago using self-paced courses. I shared my journey back then every step of the way, showcased my projects before landing my first role within 7 months of when I started learning. The tools of the trade haven’t changed - Excel, SQL, Power BI or Tableau & Python. Python is a plus and will help you stand out and so is learning about Cloud storage. You can start learning on your own and there are many avenues to do so. I used guided courses like Analyst Builder & Coursera.
