This is the same series, just two different setups: • Oblique knee tap > single leg stretch • Jackrabbit > push-up • Oblique pike > plank with hip abduction • Bear crawls • Double leg hip extension The reformer gives you resistance, feedback, flow. The foam roller? Instability, control, and a whole lot of honesty. Either way your: • Obliques are firing • Deep core is switching on • Shoulders are stabilising • Glutes are working It doesn’t always have to be about the equipment. How often do you release muscle tension. Is mayofacial release overrated ??? Here’s my take - if you train 4-6 days a week with many strength sessions, you are bound to develop some amount of muscle tightness which in turn may lead to a little stiffness. While for the most part you needn’t worry but if you develop chronic pain and niggles - that’s your ‘wake up call’. ☎️ Shortened and stiff muscles tend to restrict joint mobility. It’s puts you ‘off’ mechanics. For efficient exercise mechanics you need to execute an exercise through its full range of motion. These tools are an important part of exercise recovery. Must sit on niggles at least 2-3 times a week and focus on 20 mins of foam rolling or a release session once a week. Don’t forget your physio apts pain or no pain. You need a sports physio if you’re training regularly. Hope this helps ❤️ #foamroller #exercise #exercisescience
