If you’ve been told your tests are normal, you’re still having periods, and therefore nothing is wrong — but you feel awful — this is for you. Perimenopause is not menopause. Menopause is a clear playing field. Hormones are low and stable. Treatment is straightforward. Perimenopause is chaos. Hormones fluctuate month to month. Progesterone drops first — causing anxiety, poor sleep, overwhelm. Oestrogen spikes can bring palpitations and headaches. Testosterone changes reduce drive and energy. Symptoms come and go. Tests can look normal. But you know something isn’t right. Perimenopause is complex. And it needs personalised care — not dismissal. #womenshealth #hormonebalancing #perimenopause

Perimenopause: what it is, when it starts & why your body feels different Perimenopause isn’t something that *suddenly* happens in your 50s. For many women, it can begin in their late 30s or early 40s. So what’s actually happening? 🔹 What is perimenopause? It’s the transition phase *before* menopause, where hormones start to fluctuate — often years before periods stop. 🔹 When does it happen? Anywhere between 35–50. You can still have regular cycles and *still* be in perimenopause. 🔹 Why does it happen? Oestrogen and progesterone no longer rise and fall in a predictable rhythm. These hormonal shifts can impact: • Energy • Mood • Sleep • Body fat distribution • Muscle recovery • Brain fog & anxiety 🔹 Important to know: Perimenopause is not diagnosed by a single blood test. Hormone levels fluctuate daily, so blood results can look “normal” even when symptoms are very real. Perimenopause is symptom-led, not lab-led. This isn’t a personal failure. And it’s not “just stress” or “getting older”. It’s physiology — and once you understand it, you can support your body properly. If this resonates and you want guidance through this phase, you don’t have to do it alone 🤍 📩 DM me PERI or MENOPAUSE to chat. #Perimenopause #HormoneHealth #MenopauseEducation #WomenOver35 #MidlifeStrength StrongIsSexy

If you’re in this season too, you are NOT alone. A few facts I wish more women talked about: Menopause happens because estrogen and progesterone levels naturally decline with age It can start years before your last period (that’s perimenopause) Symptoms can include insomnia, anxiety, hot flashes, weight changes, and memory lapses. Every woman’s experience is different, there’s no “normal” timeline I’m sharing this series because I hope we can talk openly, swap solutions, and support each other. What’s been helping you? Supplements? Lifestyle changes? Diet? Hormone therapy? I want to hear your experiences and what’s actually working for you. 💬 Disclaimer: Always talk to your doctor about your symptoms and consider getting your hormones tested. If your doctor isn’t helpful, in my experience checking out @midihealth has been a godsend for me. We deserve support, answers, and real conversations about this stage of life. I truly hope this series helps those of us walking through this now, and prepares those who aren’t there yet. Because I really wish someone had told me. 😩 Comment “link” and I’ll share my #menopause “solutions” that I’ve used or hear works wonders!! Feel free to share more!! 😃

Perimenopause follows a timeline most doctors never explain: PHASE 1: Early Perimenopause (Age 35-45) - Cycles still regular (or mostly) - First symptoms: sleep disruption, mood changes, brain fog - Labs: Usually "normal" (this is why you're dismissed) - Duration: Can last 4-8 years PHASE 2: Late Perimenopause (Age 45-52) - Irregular cycles, skipped periods - Symptoms intensify: hot flashes, weight gain, joint pain - Labs: May start showing changes (but not always) - Duration: 2-4 years before your final period PHASE 3: Menopause - No period for 12 consecutive months - You're officially "in menopause" - Symptoms can continue for years Here's what most women don't know: You can start experiencing symptoms 10 years before your last period—while your labs still look "normal." This is why so many women are told "you're too young" or "it's just stress." The truth? Symptoms matter more than lab values. Your experience is real, even when the numbers don't reflect it. On Saturday, February 14, at 10 am PT, I'm breaking down exactly where you might be in this timeline—and what to do about it. We'll cover: → How to identify which phase you're in (without relying on labs alone) → What treatment options exist at each stage → Why "one-size-fits-all" approaches don't work → How to find a provider who actually listens This is the class I wish someone had taught me when I was going through this. Comment EVENT, and I'll send you the registration link. You deserve to understand what's happening in your body—and you deserve real solutions, not dismissal. Can't attend live? Register anyway—you'll get the recording. #Perimenopause #MenopauseTimeline #WomensHealth #HormoneHealth #MidlifeWomen #HealthEducation

“Normal labs don’t always mean nothing is happening.” Lab test results say “everything is normal” —- it doesn’t mean nothing is happening. Hormonal shifts don’t happen neatly, in straight lines. Hormones fluctuate. They change — day to day, month to month. Blood tests capture a moment. But your body lives in a process. And perimenopause is a process — with ups and downs. That’s why so many women are told everything looks ‘normal’ while their experience tells a very different story. Your symptoms and your experiences are not random. They’re signals. Symptoms are like messages — waiting to be interpreted. And lab tests can hardly give you an accurate interpretation. The truth is, there’s more your symptoms are trying to say — follow for more — if you want help interpreting what your body is telling you.

I want to THRIVE in menopause, not just survive. I’m also concerned about my future self, so prioritizing these tests is key. I take these tests myself and I make sure I am in the OPTIMAL (not “normal”) range. We don’t feel our bones getting brittle or our arteries clogging until it’s too late. So don’t wait. 🦴 DEXA or REMS Scan – Checks bone density & strength. ❤️ Full Lipid Panel – Don’t forget Apolipoprotein B for heart health. 🍬 Fasting Insulin – Catch insulin resistance early! It’s common (but not normal) in menopause. 🦋 Thyroid Panel – Includes TSH, Free T3, Free T4 & Reverse T3. Loads more testing here if we’re suboptimal. 🔥 Hormone Panel – Crucial in perimenopause & post menopause. Consider testing hormone metabolites in urine to see how these hormones are “behaving”. 🎀 Breast Screening – I get an MRI, but there are plenty of other screenings out there from mammograms to ultrasounds. Comment HACK for my mammogram hack! (Be sure to speak with your own doctor before taking any supplements) What tests would you add to this list? #MenopauseRebrand #MidlifeHealth #HormoneHealth #Longevity #menopause #perimenopause #biohack #labtest

Perimenopause is the transition phase before menopause and it can last several years. Hormones fluctuate during this time, which can cause irregular periods, sleep problems, mood changes, hot flashes, brain fog, and more. You can still get pregnant in this stage, and support is available for symptoms. Understanding perimenopause helps you recognize what is happening and get the right care. #perimenopause #menopause #menopausesymptoms #midlifehealth #womenshealth

Menopause is NOT a transition phase your body “figures out.” It’s a hormone-deficient state. Estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone don’t just affect cycles and hot flashes—they regulate brain function, bone density, cardiovascular health, metabolism, joints, and mood. Even when symptoms feel manageable, hormone loss can quietly impact long-term disease risk. Knowledge is power. And women deserve better information. Perimenopause isn’t “hormones slowly declining.” It’s hormones fluctuating — sometimes wildly. One month you’re fine. Next month your cycle is early. Then it’s late. Then you ovulate at a weird time… Or you bleed without even ovulating at all. That’s because during perimenopause, hormones don’t follow a predictable pattern anymore. Estrogen can spike. Progesterone can drop. Ovulation becomes inconsistent. And it’s not just about whether hormones are “in range.” 👉 It’s about the relationship between estrogen and progesterone. Their ratio determines: • How stable your cycle is • Mood + anxiety levels • Sleep quality • Fat loss resistance • PMS severity • Period timing But traditional medicine usually looks at ONE number at ONE moment in time… and if it falls inside a wide lab range, you’re told: “You’re fine.” Meanwhile your body feels anything but fine. Because hormone balance is about patterns, ratios, and function — not just isolated lab values. Your symptoms are real. Your fluctuations are normal for this stage. And they deserve to be understood — not dismissed. 📌 Save this if your cycle feels unpredictable lately. 📤 Share this with a woman who thinks she’s “going crazy.”

One of the very first signs of perimenopause is a change in your period—yet it’s one of the most overlooked. Cycles may become shorter or longer, heavier or lighter, more unpredictable, or suddenly come with new symptoms like intense PMS, fatigue, or mood swings. So many women brush this off as stress, aging, or “just life,” because no one ever told us that period changes are often the body’s earliest signal that hormones are shifting. We’ve been taught to normalize discomfort instead of investigate it. As a Perimenopause and Menopause Specialist, I see this every day. My mission is to educate women on the early signs of perimenopause so they can take action before symptoms spiral into burnout, weight gain, anxiety, sleep issues, or feeling disconnected from their own bodies. Perimenopause doesn’t happen overnight—and it shouldn’t be ignored. This is why I strongly encourage women to get their hormones checked. You deserve real data, real answers, and a plan that works with your body instead of against it.#menopausalspecialist #perimenopausehealth #getyourhormoneschecked

All Menopause Stages Explained | Perimenopause, Menopause, Post-Menopause Menopause isn’t just one moment. It happens in stages. 🔸 Perimenopause (around age 44–45) Irregular periods, hot flashes, mood swings, and sleep issues begin as estrogen levels start fluctuating. 🔸 Menopause: 12 months without periods Officially menopause when periods stop completely. It is when you don't get periods for 12 months straight. 🔸 Post-menopause: Life after menopause Ongoing symptoms like knee/joint pain, vaginal dryness, mood changes, and increased osteoporosis risk as hormones remain low. During this, your hormones are fluctuating, your calcium level starts decreasing and you see other changes.
