I've been on TRT for a few years, but first lost over 100lbs without it. However, my energy was terrible and my chronically low testosterone wasn't improving (low 200s when I got on TRT). TRT gave me the energy to get off my butt to maintain the healthy habits I started, and ultimately helped me get off of my other heart medications. That's a win so I'm definitely not anti TRT. I'm anti being on anything I don't really need to be on. I was on it for a legitimate condition known as Cryptorchidism (sorry TMI), that did not allow my body to produce normal testosterone levels. However, I've been lowering my dose for the past 2 months, currently under 100mg per week until today where I'm cutting it completely for a 60 day test run 😬. My testosterone levels are remaining stable at a low dose, so it appears my body at a much leaner weight is running much more efficiently. I'm going to hop off for 60 days to see if my body will pick up the slack. If it can produce normal levels, awesome! If it won't and everything tanks then at least I know. I'd rather not be on it if my body can do its thing, but if worse comes to worst I'll just do a low dose and that's fine too. Like I said, if I don't need it, perfect, but if I'm going to feel like crap because it plummets and won't recover then it's just what my body needs. I won't be ashamed about it nor should anyone feel shame if their body needs something that it's deficient in and can't handle on its own, or something that may be life-changing for them. Just giving real updates on my personal journey. I'm still calling it a non scale victory because my body is running more efficient than it ever has in the past which is pretty awesome. 😎 #weightlossjourney #weightloss #weightlossmotivation #healthylifestyle
