😩 If your hamstrings are CRAZY tight, this stretch is for you! (Save this video for future reference 👍) Chronically tight hamstrings can impact your entire body, leading to foot and knee pain, hip and back pain, even tension headaches 😭 So, finding a doable way to easily begin releasing that tension (like this stretch!) is so important. A couple tips to keep in mind here: ✨ Push your heel up and down for a 10 dynamic reps (it’s ok if your leg can’t get fully straight up yet) ✨ Also, hold the stretched position for an extended 30-60 seconds ✨ Extend the other leg out straight to make it harder ✨ Play with different thigh angles, holding your thigh in closer or further away Do this daily and your hamstrings will start to loosen up. 💬 Try it and tell me how it feels! … #tighthamstrings #hamstringstretch #flexibilitytraining #menopausefitness #perimenopausefitness

Most people STRETCH their HAMSTRINGS in one straight line… but each hamstring fibre needs a different position. Here’s how to stretch them in an isolated and targeted way for real results: 🔹 1. Semimembranosus – Isolated Stretch Step 1: Move the leg into abduction. Step 2: Add external rotation of the hip. Step 3: Hold this position for a gentle passive stretch. Step 4: For deeper results → do Abduction + External Rotation + METs • Push gently against resistance for 5 seconds And hold for 30 sec. 🔹 2. Biceps Femoris – Isolated Stretch Step 1: Move the leg into abduction with internal rotation. Step 2: Hold to feel the stretch along the outer hamstring line. The number ONE rule if you pulled your hamstring You need to start your rehab within the first 2 days and load your hamstring eccentrically (in lengthened positions) within the first 5 days to have a quicker recovery Use these easy to do at home exercise to stop delaying your recovery: *hamstring extended - 2-3 sets 10 reps daily *single leg glute bridge - 3 sets 10-12 reps daily *single leg (out only) hamstring slide - 3 sets 5-8 reps every other day *Askling slider - 3 sets 5-8 reps every other day Having some pain during rehab is normal and expected, but keep it below 3/10 by managing how far away you front your foot away from your body
