💡 IFT (Interferential Therapy) Machine Therapy IFT (Interferential Therapy) machine therapy is a type of electrotherapy ⚡ commonly used in physiotherapy to relieve pain, reduce inflammation and promote healing 💪 in soft tissues. This Stimulation: 🚫 Blocks pain signals Improves blood circulation Reduces swelling and inflammation Promotes healing of injured tissues 🔹 Common Uses: Chronic pain (e.g., arthritis, sciatica) Post-surgical pain Muscle spasms Sports injuries Joint and soft tissue injuries Neuralgia and neuropathy [ IFT, Physiotherapist, pain, electrotherapy] #reliva #physiotherapy #ift #painrelief

Interferential Therapy (IFT) is often used in clinics—but many students still confuse it with TENS. The key to mastering IFT lies in understanding carrier frequency and beat frequency. IFT uses two medium frequency currents (commonly around 4000 Hz) that intersect to produce a low-frequency beat (1–150 Hz) within the tissues. This beat frequency is what determines the therapeutic effect. 👉 1. Acute Pain (High Beat Frequency: 80–150 Hz) • Mechanism: Pain Gate Theory (segmental inhibition) • Effect: Rapid pain relief • Indications: Acute injury, inflammation, muscle spasm • Sensation: Strong tingling without muscle contraction 👉 2. Chronic Pain (Low Beat Frequency: 0–10 Hz) • Mechanism: Endorphin release • Effect: Longer-lasting pain relief • Indications: Chronic low back pain, trigger points, muscle tightness • May produce mild muscle contraction 👉 3. Subacute / Mixed Conditions (10–50 Hz) • Mechanism: Combined pain gate and endorphin effects • Used when symptoms are transitioning between acute and chronic 👉 4. Frequency Sweep (e.g., 0–100 Hz) • Prevents nerve accommodation • Enhances overall effectiveness • Commonly used in clinical practice IFT is not just “current flow.” It’s about frequency modulation + vector application + patient-specific dosing. Physiotherapy is precision, not random settings. ✅ Follow for more physiotherapy tips and tricks. ✅Save for your viva and share with your friends. #instagram #physiotherapist #viralreels #follow#fypppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp

‼️ HOTish TAKE 🚨 ❌ I am far from saying that you’re a failure if any of this relates to you, BUT… If your prescribed exercises are not having a beneficial effect after a while (which is normal and common), maybe what your body needs is a good nights sleep, some nutritious foods and a big glass of water. ✅ Rehab is a holistic approach that should encompass lifestyle factors as well as targeted exercise and activity modification. Don’t hate, but somebody had to say it. #wellness #lifestyle #physio #physiotherapy #physicaltherapy

🧠 If your patient keeps falling backward or just struggling to stand up, they are very likely missing the forward shift. These drills all target the same thing: 👉 anterior COM translation before extension What you’re training: • Forward weight shift • Proper hip hinge • Glute-driven extension • Loading the involved limb Progress/regress as needed: • Raise the surface to reduce demand • Let them use momentum, “stand on 3” • Add an external target to drive reach • Use staggered stance for forced loading • Add weight for increased challenge 👟 @kizik Athens 2 👕 @wearfigs Navy 🎵 Music: Footsteps Musician: Daniel Jorgensen (from Audiio) #neurorehab #neuropt #physicaltherapy

PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) patterns for the lower limb involve diagonal and rotational movements that mimic functional activities. The D1 flexion and extension patterns are commonly used to improve neuromuscular control, strength, and range of motion. #physio #physiotherapy #trending #medical #instagood #health #physiolife #medico ⸻ D1 Flexion Pattern (Flexion, Adduction, External Rotation) Starting Position (for D1 Flexion): • Hip: Extension, Abduction, Internal Rotation • Knee: Extension (can vary) • Ankle and Foot: Plantarflexion, Eversion • Toes: Flexed Movement Pattern: • Hip: Flexion, Adduction, External Rotation • Knee: Flexion or extension depending on goal • Ankle and Foot: Dorsiflexion, Inversion • Toes: Extension Functional Example: • Crossing one leg over the other (like putting on a sock or stepping into a car) ⸻ D1 Extension Pattern (Extension, Abduction, Internal Rotation) Starting Position (for D1 Extension): • Hip: Flexion, Adduction, External Rotation • Knee: Flexion (can vary) • Ankle and Foot: Dorsiflexion, Inversion • Toes: Extended Movement Pattern: • Hip: Extension, Abduction, Internal Rotation • Knee: Extension • Ankle and Foot: Plantarflexion, Eversion • Toes: Flexion Functional Example: • Pushing the foot down and out to the side as in kicking something behind and away ⸻ Verbal Cues for D1 Flexion: “Bring your foot up, in, and across—like you’re crossing your leg.” Verbal Cues for D1 Extension: “Push your foot down, out, and back—like you’re stomping away.”
