Not many people talk about this ⤵️ When I was deep in my healing journey from autoimmune conditions (TSHDS small fiber neuropathy & Hashimoto’s), red light therapy (RLT) became one of my most powerful tools. 💡 But here’s the thing—I made a lot of mistakes with it that I want you to avoid. 🔬 How does RLT actually work, and why did I try it? Think of your body like a rechargeable battery. Your cells run on energy, and when that energy depletes (thanks to modern living), chronic illness can take hold. RLT works by delivering specific wavelengths of red & near-infrared light (630, 670, 830, 850nm) deep into the body to recharge your cellular batteries, reduce inflammation, and boost tissue repair. It stimulates mitochondria (your body’s energy powerhouses) to produce ATP, the fuel your body runs on. 🚨 My first big mistake? Thinking more = better. Red & infrared light might be one of the biggest nutrient deficiencies today, but flooding your body with too much at once can backfire. ✅ Start slow. Begin with 3-5 minutes per session, then work up to 10-20 minutes gradually. If you have a smaller device, move it around your body to ensure even coverage. ☀️ Timing matters.
