The benefits of seated cable rows in particular is that youโ€™re minimising fatigue in your low back and you can isolate + control the movement more (if the form is looking good). Here are some tips as you row: โญ๏ธ Pull hands to your ribcage, not your chest. Elbows should stay around 90 degrees since we donโ€™t want the arms getting over-involved. โญ๏ธ If your shoulders are shrugging up, youโ€™re passing the load to your traps. We want the shoulders pulled down away from the ears so we can keep the tension in our mid-back + lats. โญ๏ธ Keep a neutral spine, core tight. Avoid excessively rounding your back. โญ๏ธ Keep elbows in close to you as you row and drive them back behind you while contracting your back. Note: There is variation among different cable attachments. Iโ€™d typically grab a close grip attachment instead of the individual handles, but these can work as well. CORRECTIVE CABLE ROW by @skiman.factual.fitness OK, here we go with another corrective exercising video, let me know if you guys like this type of format, I have always found that sometimes it is better to see how exercises are executed by visual aids. The cable row, one of THE most inaccurately performed exercises.ย  Lots of big egos here with this one. On the left, there's a lot going wrong, the movement is basically being executed with a ton of momentum to get that whole stack up.ย  Also the scapula is not being retracted while leaning forward too far. What is ideal is being in a upright position but also retracting the scapula and also pulling the cable attachment toward your belly button in a controlled manner. Hope that helps!
