Treating Plantar Fasciitis Heel Spurs by addressing Peronii & Posterior Tibialis Muscle Dysfunction with Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization 🦶✨ Last week we talked about stubborn foot and heel pain—today, we show how we treat plantar fasciitis using Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (Graston Technique®). Plantar fasciitis and heel pain often aren’t just a “foot problem.” Muscles that support the arch—like the posterior tibialis on the inside of the leg and the peronii muscles on the outside—can become weak, fibrotic, and overloaded. Over time, this tension pulls on the plantar fascia, Achilles tendon, and heel, leading to inflammation, heel spurs, and persistent pain with walking or standing. In this video, we work with Miss Abby and demonstrate how we: ✅ Assess tissue quality and identify knotted, restricted areas ✅ Release the posterior tibialis to support the medial (inner) arch ✅ Address the peronii muscles to restore lateral arch stability ✅ Treat the Achilles tendon and calf to reduce strain on the heel ✅ Use ultrasound gel and Graston tools to safely break up adhesions Why we use Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization: The Graston Technique helps break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions, increase blood flow, and stimulate the body’s natural healing response. This allows irritated tissues to calm down, improves mobility, and reduces stress on the plantar fascia and heel. Instrument-assisted soft tissue work is especially effective for: • Plantar fasciitis & heel spur pain • Chronic foot and ankle tension • Achilles and calf tightness • Overuse injuries from walking, running, or standing • Restoring proper arch support and foot mechanics When the supporting muscles release, pressure comes off the heel—and real healing can begin. #PlantarFasciitis #GrastonTechnique #SoftTissueMobilization #HeelPain #PosteriorTibialis PeronealMuscles AchillesTendon FootHealth ArchSupport InstrumentAssistedTherapy ChronicPainRelief WellnessTherapy

Dry needling for chronic plantar fasciitis This is something I use with some patients as a pain-relief tool. It’s important to be clear: Dry needling is not the solution to plantar fasciitis. What it can do is help reduce pain and sensitivity so the foot and surrounding tissues can better tolerate loading and resistance training. If the goal is to rebuild tissue capacity, reducing pain can be a helpful way to jump-start that process—not replace it. Pain relief creates opportunity. Loading builds resilience.

Compression socks or night splints… which one actually helps plantar fasciitis? That sharp “stepping on glass” pain in the morning comes from your fascia tightening overnight, then suddenly stretching when you stand. The key is knowing which one reduces swelling vs. which one prevents that painful first step. #MedScienceSimplified #DrZikkyExplains #PlantarFasciitis #FootPainRelief #RecoveryTools Disclaimer: This content is for educational purposes only and is not intended to substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Do you have knee, calf, or foot pain/cramping? ✅ lasting over 6 months ✅ you’ve seen 3+ doctors without relief ⁣⁣ 👁 See that orange rope looking thing? That is your TIBIAL NERVE. It runs from the back of your knee all the way down your calf to your foot.💥⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Imagine a water hose that you STEP on! What will happen to the water coming out on the other end? ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Exactly it will STOP flowing! ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Numbness, tingling, pain that is all caused by the sciatic nerve being pinched down by ADHESION! ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Just like the water hose, your nerve is not able to send the correct sensory signals down your leg!⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Unfortunately a lot of doctors, PT’s and massage therapists don’t treat this problem known as adhesion. And they will have you coming back over and over without REAL relief! 🙏⁣⁣ We’ve seen patients see some doctors for 40-50 treatments with 0% relief lasting over 2 days!! Suffering people deserve better. ⁣⁣ Only a certified adhesion expert can fix this issue. ⁣⁣ Best part about this is you can expect some percentage of permanent relief in 5 treatments or less! ⁣⁣ ➡️DM me the word “Tibial” to see if you qualify for permanent relief! 👉📱⁣⁣ #lowbackpainsucks #legpain #achinglegs #buttpaintreatment #stlouischiropractor stcharlesmo kneepain kneepainrelief sciaticapain anklesprain sciaticarelief stpetersmo sciaticatreatment sciaticapainrelief buttpain sciatica hamstring sciaticasucks lowbackpain stlouisgram athleticrecovery runninginjury runninginjuriessuck lowbackpainrelief calfpain calfmuscles calfmuscle legmuscles stlouismissouri
