MO‼️Shocking! I CHOSE a repeat C-section vs Vbac. Stop assuming things about the ways mom choose to birth their babies. Labor for 26 hours, uterine infection, placenta failing, failure to progress, heart rate dropping and emergency C-section was what my body was “naturally” doing. 🥲 I’m grateful for my C-section. But my first birth experience really f*cked me up mentally and physically. Which is why I will chose to repeat C-section!
➡️🔪if we have a 3rd, I’ll choose another C-section too

FIThat’s the question I heard the most. & honestly… I get it. It’s not the ‘usual’ choice.
But here’s the truth ⬇️
I wasn’t trying to prove my worth as a mom. I wasn’t chasing some badge of honor. I just wanted to give my body the chance to do something it had never been able to before.
After 3 c sections, I wanted to labor. To push. To experience birth in a different way, even if it didn’t go the way I dreamed.
For me, attempting a VBAC was about:
* Trusting my body more than my fear
* Doing my research & knowing my risks
* Writing a birth story I was part of deciding
It didn’t end the way I planned (that’s a story for another reel 🙃), but I’ll never regret saying yes to the chance.
Because sometimes, the point isn’t the outcome… it’s the courage to try.

DRfirst ten days after a c-section was NO JOKE. To all the mamas out there, 🤜🏽 I honestly think the hardest part was getting in and out of bed especially as a short gal. IYKYK.
I had a pretty extensive belly skincare routine during my third trimester and now that I’m in my fourth, I’ve incorporated new techniques, tools, and skincare ingredients to help with my c section shelf and scar healing. Let me know if a post on scar healing would be helpful!
To all the new moms out there, I also highly recommend pelvic PT - at first, I honestly had a hard time justifying the time and the money but honestly, it was more than worth it.

1️⃣I would’ve opted to birth at home with a birth keeper that respected the sacred journey of birth ❤️
2️⃣I would’ve opted out of NHS antenatal care, this would’ve saved me a ton of stress 😥
3️⃣I would’ve asked someone to document my birth 📷

TH✨not be able to have VBAC after I have done everything to achieve it with my second baby 🤰I did feel disappointed and grief about not being able to have VBAC. But the fact that no matter what way we bring our baby to this world, vaginal or C-section, all we wanted is a healthy baby and mom 🥹🥰 and baby cuddles are the best for healing ❤️🩹

KAAfter a C section with my first, I reallyyyyy wanted to try for a VBAC. The day before my due date, I wasn’t dilated at all and I was getting pressure from my clinic of scheduling an induction again. I was feeling frustrated and felt that my body just needed more time to get things going, despite the pressure I was receiving. I worried that an induction would just end up with another c section since my body wasn’t dilating, similar to my last birth.
Tuesday night I started having contractions 7 minutes apart for hours… I thought it might be the real deal but by morning they were gone. Back to square one🙃
Wednesday night they came back, stronger and quickly 3 minutes apart! We went to the hospital and were worried they’d send us home because when they checked me, I was only dilated to a 1… The nurse had me walk the halls for over an hour and was finally admitted when I had progressed to a 2! 🙏🏼
The contractions were so painful and I couldn’t wait to get my epidural😫 Around midnight I finally got my epidural and just few hours later I was already at 8 cm! Not too long after that, complete!!!
After about 45 minutes of pushing, Monroe was born at 5:19am on February 26, 2026🥹
8 lbs 6 oz. 21 inches long.
There were a few scary moments after as I lost a lot of blood, needed manual placenta removal, and stitches for my tears but my doctors and nurses were incredible.
This birth was redemptive in so many ways. After weeks of doubt and fear, I got my VBAC😭🫶🏻
My body wasn’t failing. It just needed time 🤍
