This demonstration of the CUBE 3D (Meteor CXC3) highlights the precision of mechanical "rubout" on standard FR4 substrates. The High-Speed Milling Specs To achieve burr-free traces on abrasive fiberglass-epoxy (FR4), the system operates at the high-end of the CNC spectrum: Spindle Velocity (60,000 RPM): High spindle speeds are critical for small-diameter tools (1.0mm stub endmills). This ensures a high surface feet per minute (SFM), which is necessary to cleanly shear copper without delaminating the underlying epoxy resin. Feed Rate Optimization (1000mm/min): Maintaining a high feed-per-tooth ratio at 60k RPM prevents heat buildup (friction), which can otherwise soften the FR4 resin and lead to "clogged" flutes or tool breakage. High-Definition Traces: Mechanical routing eliminates "undercutting" issues common in wet etching, ensuring that your trace width matches your digital design exactly—crucial for Impedance Matching.
