If recruiters aren’t coming to you on LinkedIn, it’s usually not because the market is “bad.” It’s because your profile is missing one of two things: (📌 save this for your job search) Most people think LinkedIn works like a résumé. It doesn’t. It works like a search engine + credibility check. Here’s what recruiters are actually scanning for: 1: Professional Credibility Before they read a single word, they’re subconsciously asking: “Does this person look legit?” That comes from: - A clear, professional profile photo - A banner that signals what you do - Recommendations/references - The right number of connections (yes, it matters) Missing these? You create instant doubt. 2: Searchability (keywords) Recruiters don’t “browse.” They search. If you’re missing job-specific keywords in: - Your headline - Your About section - Your experience bullets - Your skills section …you won’t even show up. 🫨 And if they can’t find you, they can’t message you. Here’s the good news: This is fixable! (and it doesn’t require becoming a LinkedIn influencer - or even purchasing premium) It just requires the right strategy. If you want me to teach you to turn your profile into a recruiter magnet, comment AUDIT & I’ll teach you how to audit & fix your LinkedIn (in under 10 minutes!). ❤️ // I’m Abbey & I help you design your dream career, then go get hired for it. Me: That’s not how you use LinkedIn!! “But Ritika, that’s how everyone else uses it, as a job board!” Exactly. LinkedIn makes it super easy for job seekers to apply on autopilot (ahem, Easy Apply ❌). So everyone else does it. And if you do too, your applications just get lost in the void. So here’s how you’re going to be using LinkedIn the right way: (first, save this post!) 1️⃣ Optimize your profile Make everything hyper specific to your target roles. Utilize every section to do this. 2️⃣ Cold messaging This is how you stand out. By proactively reaching out to the decision makers rather than waiting to have your application plucked out from the pile. 3️⃣ Thought leadership Sounds scary. This is just creating posts about your learnings and projects. Helps you stand out further because <1% of LinkedIn users actually write posts! 4️⃣ Personal branding Combine your optimized profile with the posts you write and you get a personal brand that not only makes you stand out as a leader, but sets you up for success for all of your future jobs. If this was helpful don’t forget to: ✅ Follow @saraswatritika for more such content 🔂Re-post & share this post with others!! #linkedintips #linkedinbio #linkedinjobs #linkedin #jobsearching

aaaand two more sneaky bonus signs most people miss: 1. less than 500 connections or followers LinkedIn reads this as inactivity. start by connecting with people you already know - existing clients, former colleagues, warm contacts. 2. less than 50 profile views per week you exist on LinkedIn but nobody’s finding you. fix it by commenting meaningfully on big names in your industry. not “great post!” (we can do better) - something that shares value or insight. 3. your DMs are full of spam your profile is attracting the wrong people. an optimised profile acts as a filter. BONUS 1: your headline is just your job title the most-read line on your profile and it’s doing nothing? come on. at the minimum, this should tell people who you help and how. BONUS 2: you haven’t posted in 30+ days LinkedIn ignores quiet profiles. even once a week keeps you visible. commenting makes a huuuge difference. GOOD NEWS each of these are totally fixable. start with your profile. comment CHECKLIST and I’ll send you my free LinkedIn profile audit

Your LinkedIn is costing you remote job offers Here are 3 mistakes that silently keep recruiters from finding you… ❌ 1. Your headline is too generic “Marketing Manager” or “Software Developer” tells recruiters nothing. Instead, lead with who you help + how + outcome. Example: 👉 Marketing Manager | B2B SaaS | Demand Gen & Revenue Growth Your headline is searchable real estate - use it wisely. ❌ 2. You’re not using ‘Open to Work’ correctly Recruiters literally filter for this. Turn it on (and choose “recruiters only” if you want privacy). Bonus tip: update your location to “Remote” so you appear in global searches. ❌ 3. You’re missing keywords (this is huge) Recruiters search LinkedIn like Google. If your profile doesn’t include role-specific keywords, you won’t show up. Steal keywords directly from job descriptions and add them to your: • Headline • About section • Experience bullets (Pro tip: repeat your main keyword 3–5 times naturally.) Your LinkedIn isn’t a resume - it’s a search engine profile. Fix these and you instantly increase inbound opportunities. 💾 Save this for your profile audit tonight!

It’s 2026, I know we all hate LinkedIn…so let’s start making it work in our favor! Here are the 3 mistakes I see over and over again while searching for top talent on LinkedIn: 1. You’re writing your profile for people instead of the algorithm. Yes, LinkedIn has an algorithm too. Most candidates write their About section like a networking intro, but LinkedIn’s search engine doesn’t care about sounding friendly - it cares about indexing terms. If your first 2-3 lines don’t contain the roles, industries, tools, or specialties you want to rank for, you’re basically burying the keywords that will help get you found. 2. Your experience billets read like accomplishments…not like search queries. Recruiters don’t search “improved efficiency by 20%.” We search for keywords like “salesforce”, “healthcare”, “product”, or (LLM or “large language model”). If your bullets are too poetic or achievement focused (without core language), your profile becomes unsearchable. I’m begging you…please save the impact statements for your resume!!! 3. You’re hiding your strongest credibility signal in the wrong place. LinkedIn heavily weighs Skills + Endorsements + Recommendations, yet most candidates treat them like optional extras. Your most searchable keywords should be in your Skills section (not your headline), and your best social proof should be in your Recommendations (not buried in your About section). Recruiters check these sections way more than you think — so please advocate for yourself and ask colleagues, leaders and clients for recommendations! You don’t need a prettier profile, you need a findable one. ✨Please save this if you’re actively in the job market and want more recruiters to find you.✨ If you make any updates to your LinkedIn profile, let me know if the comments 👇🏻

I don’t apply to jobs, it’s too desperate. I let them come to me and BEG in my @linkedin DMs. Here are 3 things I do DAILY on LinkedIn to always be in high demand: 1. Post thought leader content to build my credibility and authority in my niche 2. Engage with others through comments and DMs to build real relationship 3. Keep my profile updated to serve as my online career landing page Do these 3 things daily and you’ll never be without a job again. Personal branding on LinkedIn is SO important.

🧠READ CAPTION LinkedIn isn’t a job board. It’s a search engine for talent. In 2024 alone, 122M+ people got interviews through LinkedIn. 35.5M got hired. And most of them didn’t apply to 100 jobs. Here’s what actually works 👇 1️⃣ Your profile is your landing page Recruiters don’t read resumes first. They search LinkedIn. If your headline is just a job title, you’re invisible. Your profile should answer one question fast: 👉 What problem do you solve? 2️⃣ Visibility beats silence Posting once a week already puts you ahead of 90% job seekers. Project wins. Lessons learned. Industry opinions. Every post is a signal: “I exist. I think. I add value.” 3️⃣ Stop random DMs Cold asking doesn’t work. Strategic presence does. Make a short list of recruiters or employees. Engage first. Be familiar before asking. People help people they recognize. 4️⃣ Comments are underrated leverage If you’re just scrolling, you’re wasting LinkedIn. Comment where recruiters already are. 5–7 thoughtful comments daily = visibility. No AI comments. Write like a human. That’s how you stand out. I spent 10–12 months learning this the hard way. It eventually got me to Amazon. To save you that time, I built a full system on using LinkedIn as a job seeker: • Profile optimization • What & when to post • How to DM without sounding desperate • How to land 5x more interviews 🔗 Link in bio. If this helped even a little— save it. And share it with someone still stuck applying. Hiring doesn’t reward effort. It rewards visibility + clarity. Your LinkedIn profile should be working harder than you are. Here’s how to make it unmissable: 1. Change your headline – make it crystal clear what you do and who you help (forget the job titles). 2. Rewrite your about section – stop sounding like everyone else. Write like a human. Tell your story. Make people want to DM you. 3. Add a custom banner – no more generic stock photos of mountains. Use this space to show what you offer (I’ve got free templates for this, link in bio). 4. Create a featured section – link to your best work, your courses, your freebies. Give people somewhere to go after they’ve stalked your profile. 5. Actually ask people to connect – at the end of your about section, tell people what to do next. Make it easy for them to reach out. These five changes will transform your LinkedIn from “just another profile” to “how do I work with you immediately”.
