Here’s how to perform a hamstring sweep stretch: 1. Start Position Stand tall on a flat surface. 2. Prop a Heel Out Prop one foot in front, keeping the heel on the ground and toes pointing up. Bend your other knee slightly for balance. 3. Hip Hinge Keeping your back straight, hinge forward at your hips. Keep your chest up and avoid rounding your back. 4. Sweep Your Arms As you bend forward, sweep both arms down toward your outstretched leg and lightly “sweep” towards the ground. Ending around shoulder height. 6. Repeat on the Other Side Step forward with your other foot and repeat the stretch. So let’s loosen up the hips first, then the hamstrings. Here’s what to do: 👉🏻 If your left hamstring is tight, lean on something stable. Pick up your right leg, and turn your belly button toward the leg you’re standing on. Look under your left arm. 👉🏻 From this position, straighten your standing leg. You should feel a big glute stretch and a big hamstring stretch. 👉🏻 Now open back up and repeat this move 10–12 times for 2 sets per side. It’s not just your hamstrings—this is going to hit your glutes and hamstrings together. #stretching #stretch #mobility
