MATRIX HACK SQUAT MACHINE TUTORIAL 🦵🏼 // Build your legs with this newer machine at Planet Fitness! To use this machine: • Load your desired weight plates. • Adjust the side stoppers for squat depth. • Step onto the platform, lean back and place shoulders under the pads. • Stand up slightly and pull the handles inward to unlock the machine. • Inhale, squat down to desired depth. • Exhale, drive through heels and midfoot to stand up. • Repeat for the desired number of reps. • After your final rep, stand tall and pull handles outward to lock the machine. #planetfitness #hacksquat #lowerbody #lowerbodyworkout #legday #legworkout

✅ 3 Tips for a better hack squat 🤝🏼 If you find this helpful follow for more tips ❎ Push your hips back into the pad. This forces your body into a hip hinge and it will allow you to move your knees and hips in a more natural way. Machines are great but they do all the stabilization for us and we’re left with a very simple movement but the human body isn’t so simple when it comes to biomechanics. If you don’t think about pushing your hips back, you don’t allow your body to distribute the weight properly along the kinect chain (ankles, knees, hips, shoulders). This will most likely make your knees and lower back hurt ❎ Grasp the floor with your toes and push through heels. The better base you have, the more stable you’ll be, and the more power you can generate safely. When you don’t do this, you will have a weak link at the ankles and either you’ll be slightly weaker or your knees might hurt ❎ Brace hard. “Keep your core tight” you hear this all the time in gyms and fitness culture. Hack squat tips: 1.) If your knees feel uncomfortable in this exercise, there is a good chance they will feel comfortable over time. Just keep squatting with good technique, and make sure you’re pushing evenly through your heels as well as your toes. 2.) If you descend into the bottom position slowly, then you will likely stimulate slightly more growth, but in a safer way. 3.) It’s OK to come up explosively, as long as you are still under control. In fact, you may need quite a bit of explosion in order to get out of the bottom in this exercise. 4.) When I was already a very strong squatter, I was doing about three plates on this machine. This is because hack squats can take a while to get used to. Not only does this feel better over time for your knees, but you can get much stronger over time on this exercise. Want to train like me? HOW TO USE THE HACK SQUAT MACHINE 💪🏼🤓 Please comment/save/share if this was helpful.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 The hack squat is a pretty intimidating piece of equipment…however please don’t be afraid to try it out. Take your time to work it out…never feel silly or rushed. I still take my time to figure out new machine or change settings on them. 🙏🏼❤️ There are a few different types of hack squat machines but they will be pretty similar in how to use. ✨Load weight to the sides. If you are new I highly recommend to start off with no weight first so you can get a feel for the machine on its own. ✨Hop on in. Lay down with your shoulders under the pads and your back flush against the machine. ✨Push your body up and pull the handles in toward you to unlock it. ✨Find your foot positioning. Approx shoulder width or slightly outside and feet midway on the platform. ✨Lower down into a squat. Make sure you are reaching a good depth and then stand back up to the start. ✨Push the handles out to rerack on the hooks. That’s it.👌🏼 I hope this video was helpful!
