If you need to fully reset between reps, it’s likely too heavy or moving too fast. Focus on control and consistency over chasing max weight. Listen to your body, you’ve got this. 💯 Got to brag on my boy @dweebz88 on jumping up over a 100LBs on deadlifts in just two weeks. Hes made insane strength progression this past month with just a few tips and deadly workout sessions. We will work on lockouts and mobility after this week. Few Key Tips 🏴‍☠️ Mindset Often overlooked but yet the most important. It is easy to be distracted with other things in life and not be locked in. Turn off the outer noise and go to your dark place. 🏴‍☠️ Engagement Make sure your muscle recruitment is firing as it should. Feel the movement...embrace and control it. 🏴‍☠️ Heavy Loads When hitting big movements [squats, deads etc.] you need to go heavy. It's critical for growth. Cook your CNS 2-5 times weekly and your mind and body will shift. Many lack the resolve to do so.

back in October I did 360lbs x7 & I remember it feeling heavy and shitty. I’ve been trying to get one deadlift attempt every 2 weeks or so, slowly adding weight. This slow progression allows my body to adapt - joint muscles, the whole ball game, plus gives my nervous system a chance to get familiar with the heavier weight. Idk it’s fun, and all I do is write down my weights in a notebook and try to do a little more each time. 1:1 online fitness coaching: DM “flow” to chat more!

Peak strength is neurological not muscular. Missing sets you back way more with recovery than hitting that last rep gets you in gains. 👉Do your damn cardio. 60min Low Intensity Steady State (LISS - not including warmup) AND 30 min HIIT or 150 min LISS per week. That extra fatigue can burn you out before you even reach your heaviest lift. Instead, gradually build intensity while lowering reps so your body is prepared for that final effort. 🚩 A simple 6-set progression: ✅ Set 1: 8 reps @ ~30–50% Focus on warming up and dialing in your movement. ✅ Set 2: 5 reps @ ~60% Still controlled, starting to feel the weight. ✅ Set 3: 3 reps @ ~70% Now it should start to feel challenging. ✅ Set 4: 1 rep @ ~80% Heavy but smooth. ✅ Set 5: 1 rep @ ~90% Close to your max — full focus. ✅ Set 6: 1 rep @ ~100% Your true max attempt. 7 Rounds of this was my “warm up” for the max effort Deadlifts I posted yesterday. Some people think this would exhaust me, taking away from how much weight I could ultimately deadlift. But I find the exact opposite to be true. These “PRIME” my CNS for the work I am about to ask of it. If I am going to be lifting the heaviest weight possible, you will always see me doing something extremely explosive prior to doing so. Of doing something hard prior to your heaviest lifts takes away from the total amount moved, it is seriously time to work on your mindset and work capacity.
