comment the word “HAMMER” and let’s chat about what a progressively overloaded program would look like FOR YOU💪🏼 full disclosure... 3 sets of 10 is NOT bad BY ANY MEANS. what I'm trying to get at in this video is that you simply can't be walking into the gym and do the same thing over and over again each week. now I'm NOT talking about your exercises here - you should be doing the same exercises week to week. I'm talking about the load, intensity, and overall volume that needs to change WITHIN each exercise. so you can do 3 sets of 10, but if you're doing those 3 sets of 10 with the same weight every single week, you'll eventually hit a plateau. but there are MANY variables you can change in order to push yourself into progressive overload: weight, sets, reps, tempo, RPE, etc. make sure SOMETHING is changing week to week in your training, and you'll be sure to see results. #femalefitnessmotivation #progressiveoverload #fitnessadvice #gymbeginner

Goal is 5 reps on set 1, 6 reps on set 2, and 8 reps on set 3. We all know that guy who has been benching 185 for 8 reps since 2019. Don’t be that guy☠️ A lot of guys tell me they’re “training hard,” but nothing is being measured or recorded. If you want to actually put on 10-20 lbs of tissue, you have to get uncomfortable. You have to demand more from your body than you did last week. That’s what progressive overload actually means. It means fighting for that 11th rep when your brain is telling you to rack it at 10. It means adding the micro-plates even when the bar already feels heavy. If your workouts aren’t getting progressively harder, your physique isn’t getting progressively better. It’s that simple. Are you actually pushing the progression, or are you just getting a pump? the girlies wanna know what progressive overload actually means // and how to do it! @gymshark BF SALE STILLLLLL LIVE !!! ‘Esther10’ saves :) Now you sometimes can jump 10lbs week 2 and just go straight from 30lbs @ 8 reps to 40lbs @ 8 reps. The point is when you work in rep ranges you can graduate yourself out of a rep range with a certain weight and *then* move up in weight. There are always caveats. Sometimes you will feel weaker. Sometimes you will feel stronger. Sometimes you won’t lift as heavy. If you are confident at 4x10 but 4x8 at the next weight increase is too much - you can, increase a rep or two.
