Here’s my simple 7 daily stretch to help unlock your body! 💪 🔸Start with 30s gentle neck stretch on each side 🔸Then lift one leg and do a seated torso stretch for 30s on the left. Followed by 30s on the right 🔸Lying flat to your mat hug one knee at the chest for 30s. Then repeat on the opposite side 🔸Then bring the knee over your body for a spinal twist. And do this on both sides holding for 30s 🔸Now perform the cat cow for 1 minute 🔸Before moving into Childs pose and holding the arms to each side for 30s 🔸Finish in a Shavasana position until you feel calm, relaxed and calm I hope you find this useful! How to reduce stiffness in less then 5min: Feeling stiff after an excessive day of sitting and you have no idea where to start? This is a gamechanger I do this almost every day. 1. Downward dog (30sec) -> Focus on length in you lower back, getting your hip as high as possible, its also allowed to bent the knees here 2. Worlds Greatest Stretch -> try to go as deep with your elbow as you can, it doesn't have to touch the ground, then open up 3. Hip Flexor stretch (30sec) -> this is difficult I know, so you dont have to grab your toe here, in the beginning its enough to just stay in this Lunge 4. Runners stretch (30sec) -> this can be touch on the hamstrings but it will get better! 5. Pigeon Pose (30sec) -> also focus on length in your lower back and feel the stretch in your glutes Then go back into the downward dog and repeat for the other leg. You will end up needed around 5min for this. First time doing it, your body will hate you, these stretches will feel brutal, but over time you will get used to it and you will feel the benefits. No matter what state of health or fitness you are at or what age you are, here’s a very basic bunch of stretches you can all include in your everyday routine .. not really as an exercise but just as a movement for your joints and your muscles!! If you are sitting for too long, have desk job or scrolling mindlessly or just have increased screentime due to work or if you struggle to do a good warm up before your workout or you just can’t find time to exercise (yet) then start these #basicstretches right away.
