🚨PINCHED SHOULDER NERVE🚨 - 🧠 Quadrilateral space syndrome (QSS): characterized by axillary nerve and posterior humeral circumflex artery (PHCA) compression within the quadrilateral space. Impingement is most frequently due to trauma, fibrous bands, or hypertrophy of one of the muscular borders. Many patients present early with irritation of the nerve so it’s not BAD enough yet to be an “official” diagnosis or show up on imagining. This is actually the best time to catch it and fix it before it becomes chronic. This is done by isolating and modifying the aggravating activities, manual therapy and rehabilitation of the shoulder girdle. - 🤓 Often times this problems present with concurrent neck pain due to chronic shoulder dysfunction so the nerves of the neck are also important to check! This way if they are involved they can also be treated or de-compressed. - 😇 Know anyone suffering with this pain? The shoulder is the most mobile joint in the human body, so for those with hypermobility, it can be a common area of pain and subluxation. A hypermobile shoulder can sublux in any direction, but anterior is most common. 
 One thing that is important to remember is that with hypermobility, if you have joints that sublux, it’s also very easy to un-sublux them. Easy out. Easy in. The trick in the moment is to get your nervous system and muscles to relax enough to allow the joint to find it’s way back home. This is just a small a movement within the joint and it doesn’t take much force at all. Here’s 3 options. Keep in mind there are MANY others too. Before doing any technique, do a little self test of your shoulder movement. Feel how it is when you raise your arm up….note when it feels uncomfortable. Then do the technique and retest that movement. See if it’s better. If not, try another technique. Once you find a technique that helps, the most important thing to do is work on building stability of your shoulder blade (scapula) and rotator cuff to improve the stability overall and reduce subluxations. Learning how to integrate the smaller and larger muscle groups of your body will improve the way your body functions. This includes the way your bones sit or rest. Since bones don’t move themselves, it’s the quality of muscle tension and balance that position bones in your body. Great job here by @royfit01 from @fp.taiwan showing his client how to reprogram his muscular and fascist system that to place his scapulas in a way that don’t wing so they function better. Before:2022/01 After:2022/07 My client was an avid jogger and marathon runner. His daily work pattern has been sedentary. After a period of time, his body began to have some low back pain and muscle tightness. With some relaxation techniques in pursuit of better marathon performance, the problem didn't improve. However, through the training of FP, once a week, for nearly seven months. He has better tension in the body. His scapular winging has improved. His pain and discomfort had greatly reduced and more importantly, his body feels more stable and coordinated when running.
