Save, Share and DO! 😤🦾 _ Before you attempt a pull-up, make sure you get comfortable hanging from the bar in both positions (Dead hang and active hang). _ 🔶Train dead-hangs - 3-5 sets of 30-60 second holds. _ 🔶Train Active hangs - 4-6 sets of 15 -20 reps with 2 second hold with each rep. When training pull-ups it’s important that we use our larger muscles (Back) to control The movement and lift, Pulling with bad form will lead to injury and will absolutely hinder your results. Higher your potential with FORM! FULL #ROM _ 🔶Tips - Elbows in when pulling up and stay tight, control the movement. Feet touching while lightly squeezing glutes. I get asked this question quite a bit and here’s the answer: I would’ve done diagonal pull ups sooner, instead of progressing from regular pull ups straight into MU-variations. Muscle-Ups can be tricky to program - never settle on your explosive pulling strength with this variation 💥 Also this is a great way to get reps in and get used to the optimal pulling angle (as well as descent) 🦅 This is something you can never get too good at! #calisthenics #streetworkout #streetlifting #muscleup

Before we get into the "why," let me explain who this is for: First of all, it’s for beginners and people who are new to pull-ups, struggling to get the technique and activation right. Then, of course, it also depends on your goals. If your goal is to build muscle, you’re absolutely right to go to failure. But if you want to learn the movement, it’s better to focus on quality over quantity. Pull-ups are more about understanding how to properly activate the muscles in your back and position your shoulder blades. It’s also about strength, which is developed in a rep range of 1-6, while leaving some reps in reserve. So next time, take it easy—maybe use a band. All the best, Lorenz
