Step back one to two steps to create enough range of motion, then bend the hips and knees slightly to stay stable. 4. Point the elbows toward the floor and keep them slightly bent. Lock them in this position throughout the movement. 5. Cable rope lat pullovers are probably not my first choice when doing lat pullovers but for those that prefer using the rope attachment over a bar, here’s some cues that should greatly help with the movement: 1) make sure to step back far enough so you’re still unracked with your arms are in the high position 2) avoid thrusting your hips, it’s just unnecessary 3) emphasize the lower half of the range of motion as this is where the lats will have the best leverage to do shoulder extension
