Why You Need Hip Mobility 💥 If you’re not training your hips regularly, you’re missing out! Here’s why it matters: ✅ Your hips are the centre of almost every movement you do - walking, squatting, training, everything ✅ Poor hip mobility leads to compensations up and down the chain - think tight lower back, cranky knees, weak glutes ✅ Improving it doesn’t just feel good, it actually makes you stronger and more capable in your training ✅ There’s always a starting point, no matter where your mobility is right now Whether you’re stiff from sitting all day, pushing hard in the gym, or just want to move without restriction, your hips are worth the investment. Start here or even go one step further and check out my self guided programs 🔥 #hipmobility #mobility #movebetter

Why Chinese People Sit Like This Everywhere | Asian Squat Explained #shorts #viralshorts #DidYouKnow ##virałpost #viralreelsシ #foryoü You may have noticed many Chinese people sitting in a deep squat anywhere — metro stations, markets, or even sidewalks. 🤔 This posture is known as the Asian squat. Since childhood, people in many Asian countries sit on the floor, making their bodies more flexible and balanced. This natural position helps stretch the back, improve posture, and even support digestion. 🧘‍♂️ Unlike sitting on chairs, this squat allows them to relax comfortably for long periods. It also requires strong ankles and hip mobility. That’s why many people who didn’t grow up this way find it difficult. 🌍 A simple habit, but a fascinating cultural and physical advantage. 📢 Hashtags: #asiansquat, #chinesehabits, #squatting, #healthfacts, #mobility, #flexibility, #didyouknow, #worldfacts, #viralshorts, #chinaculture, #squatbenefits, #posture, #humanbodyfacts, #globalfactsdaily, #amazingfacts

I’m glad I injured my hip. I trained like a bodybuilder for years, running into various niggles but always landing on my feet, until I started running and quickly was hit with a hip injury. It was my body telling me that no matter how much squatting or deadlifting I did, my hip joint wasn’t functioning like a hip joint. So I stripped it back and learnt how to actually move, not only my hips but my entire body. It wasn’t an overnight miracle or 2 weeks of bedtime stretching, it was consistent hard work and a desire to learn. And whilst I’m grateful that journey unlocked movement I never thought possible, YOU don’t have to wait. If you start now, you might skip the injury all together. The post shares a 14-second video of a man in a blue shirt dramatically reacting with shock at a building entrance—squatting, covering his face, then collapsing to the floor—after a woman in light blue approaches holding a phone, with both ending up lying down. Captioned "His expression is priceless ", the clip includes a picture-in-picture overlay of a smiling woman reacting, highlighting the comedic, over-the-top physical humor likely from a surprise or prank. Posted by an account focused on music, dance, art, and entertainment, it has accumulated 13k+ views and light engagement as a lighthearted viral moment.

Maddie Levi lifts heavy, squatting well over 2x bodyweight! You might ask, why would one of the fastest players in a sport where speed is king be spending time under a barbell? 🏉 Doesn’t heavy lifting make you slow? It’s one of the most common myths in women’s sport. Every female athlete needs to understand this... Heavy lifting can massively benefit your speed and power. Think about every time you accelerate, off a ruck, out of a defensive line, chasing a kick. You need to quickly overcome inertia. This requires the production of more total horizontal impulse. That takes a massive amount of force production in a very short window. The stronger you are, the more force you can apply to the ground, which increases the impulse that drives you forward. Being able to produce a lot of force in a short amount of time is central to acceleration. Strength training is one of the best ways to increase your Neural Drive…how effectively your nervous system can recruit muscle to produce force. The greater your force-producing capacity, the more you can apply during explosive actions like acceleration. Maddie is already an elite athlete with a powerful nervous system and strength work raises that ceiling even higher. Lifting heavy also creates structural adaptations. One of the biggest is increased tendon stiffness, meaning your tendons act like tighter springs. They don’t need to stretch as far to return the same elastic force, which helps create greater joint stiffness when you hit the ground. The result is a quicker rebound off the ground, helping you increase stride frequency without sacrificing stride length. For any athlete hitting high speeds, greater tendon stiffness improves how quickly your tendons recoil. That elastic rebound helps reduce ground contact time at high speeds, which usually looks effortless! Heavy lifting also increases muscle cross-sectional area which means more contractile tissue that produces more force. Think big glutes, hamstrings, quads for driving force into the ground during acceleration and at max velocity sprinting! DM me ‘STRONG’ if you want to translate your strength work into speed on the pitch! Follow @maeveliston_physio ✅

Hip pain every time you squat 🏋️‍♂️, sit deep 🪑, or stand back up? This isn’t a “tight hip flexor” 🙅‍♂️ And it’s not weak glutes either. It’s an adductor magnus adhesion 🧠 — a dense restriction that locks hip flexion and overloads the joint every time you move ⚠️ So squatting feels pinchy 😬 Standing up feels sharp ⚡️ And stretching never fixes it ❌ Remove the adhesion → restore hip motion → take pressure off the joint ✅ That’s how hip pain actually changes. The secret behind the “Asian squat”: Why millions sit like this as we dive into the fascinating world of functional fitness and cultural habits. This The secret behind the “Asian squat”: Why millions sit like this update explores why you see people in China and across Asia deep-squatting at bus stops, markets, and metro stations with total ease. Unlike the “Western squat,” where many struggle to keep their heels on the ground, the Asian Squat requires massive ankle flexibility and hip mobility. Growing up in cultures where sitting low to the ground—or using squat toilets—is the norm, people maintain the natural flexibility we all had as toddlers. Beyond just a place to rest without a chair, this position is a health powerhouse: it stretches the lower back, decompresses the spine, and is even praised for aiding digestion. While most of us start shaking after 10 seconds, millions use it as a comfortable, everyday stance. Can your ankles handle the pressure? #asiansquat #chinaculture #mobility #fitnesstips #usa

I see these mistakes allllll the time in the gym…. ❌Swinging the arms around like a helicopter is not only inefficient, it can’t feel too nice on the shoulders either. ❌Can’t get much power when you’re squatting. This one usually involves a lot of tricep extension too. ❌Short pull is actually more efficient if you want to ski for long distance but for most of us competing at fitness events like Hyrox or Turf Games, this is a bit too slow and not very powerful. 3 simple steps: 1. Extend your arms overhead and hinge back with your hips fast for a powerful pull 2. Pull the arms down using your lats 3. Thrust the hips forward as you stand up straight, use this phase to take a deep breath in before the next pull. Save this post if you found it useful! Ronnie Coleman didn’t just lift weights — he rewrote bodybuilding history. Eight-time Mr. Olympia, unmatched size, unreal strength, and pure work ethic made him a legend. Squatting and deadlifting 800 lbs, then stepping on stage shredded, Ronnie proved that limits are meant to be broken. His journey teaches us that greatness comes from showing up every day, even when it hurts. No shortcuts. No excuses. Just hard work and belief. “Yeah Buddy!” isn’t just a catchphrase — it’s a mindset. : 👉 Follow @FITFOCUSHQ for more content : #RonnieColeman #MrOlympia #BodybuildingLegend #HardWorkPays

Most women aren’t bad at squatting. They’ve just never been taught how to set it up. From our today’s Women’s Strength & Hormones Workshop here in Manhattan. Before you bend your knees, fix the foundation: • Open the toes • Open the heels • Open the toes again • Light hinge (hips slightly back) • Then sit into the squat That one sequence changes everything. This is exactly how we teach it in person so your body actually understands the movement—without forcing depth, pain, or compensation.
