If you’re balancing the whole time & the weight is pulling you forward, your rear delts & upper back never get the tension they need to actually grow. More stability = more load. More load = more growth. We’ll train balance & core strength with other movements. On face pulls? Stop fighting for balance & start loading the target muscles properly to get most out of every rep 💪🏼

Here are my best form cues to help optimise your movement: ⭐️ Grip the rope with a reverse grip - ends of the rope should face you as you pull. ⭐️ Set the cable height above your head height so you are pulling from a high position rather than low. ⭐️ Think of pulling to your forehead and outwards from your ears. ⭐️ Make sure your shoulders are depressed away from your ears and externallly rotated. ⭐️ Think of pulling into a double bicep flexed pose! 💪💪 Note: there are more ways than one to perform this exercise, but these are some tips to help better target your posterior delts and strengthen your shoulders. #gymtips #facepull #shoulderworkout #pullday #gymmotivation #exercisetips #formtips #strongshoulders

When you’re standing there pulling the cable toward your face, your body starts cheating the rep by leaning back and using momentum. Your rear delts and mid traps, the muscles responsible for that thick 3D shoulder look, are barely doing anything. Here’s the fix: 1. Grab a bench 2. Slide it under the cable 3. Lay down and complete your rep, pulling your fists towards your ears. Now you can’t cheat! Your rear deltoids, rhomboids, and external rotators are forced to actually work, which means better muscle activation, stronger shoulder stability, and way less injury risk over time. Lying cable face pulls are honestly one of the most slept on exercises for building boulder shoulders and fixing your posture, whether you’re lifting heavy or just sitting at a desk all day. #facepulls #bigshoulders #shoulderworkout #reardelts #posturecorrection
